How to Configure Firefox for Persivia’s Telehealth Portal?

Like the other web browsers, permissions for camera, microphone, and notifications need to be enabled to configure Firefox web browser for the Telehealth Portal. Moving further, let us take a look at the relevant workflows.

How to Enable Camera Permissions for Firefox?

Firefox > Options > Camera

  1. Upon opening the Firefox browser, click the  icon at the top right corner of the screen. Doing so displays a list for one to make a selection from.
  2. Select Options. This opens the Options page.
  3. From the left-hand menu, select Privacy & Security.
  4. Navigate to the Permissions heading.
  5. Click the Settings next to the Camera option. This opens the Settings – Camera Permissions window.
  6. Enter the required URL and click the Save Changes button to enable access.
  7. In case one has logged in to the application and the permissions for camera access are not allowed, portal displays the Request Access popup.
  8. To enable the permissions, click the REQUEST ACCESS button.
  9. This opens the permissions popup at the left corner of the address bar.
  10. To enable camera permissions, click the Allow button.
  11. To keep the selection saved for future use, mark the Remember this decision checkbox.

Note: The workflow to enable microphone permissions is similar to the one for enabling camera access.

How to Enable Notifications Permission for Firefox?

  1. Follow the above-mentioned workflow to land on the Options tab.
  2. From the left-hand menu, click Privacy & Security.
  3. Navigate to the Permissions heading and click the Settings button next to Notifications.
  4. In the Settings – Notification Permissions window, add the required URL and click the Save Changes button.
  5. Moreover, make sure that the ‘Pause notifications until Firefox restarts’ checkbox is unmarked.
  6. In case one has logged in to the portal and the default settings are not set to allow notifications, system displays another popup after the one to request camera access. This popup says to enable notifications for a seamless experience.
  7. Clicking the Request Access button from this popup initiates another popup in the address bar that says “Allow [site link] to send notifications?”.
  8. To allow, click the Allow button.

How to Enable Push Notifications for Firefox?

  1. Upon opening the Firefox browser, click the padlock in the address bar.
  2. Click the arrow in the Site Information drop-down panel.
  3. Click More information in the next panel to bring up the Page Info window.
  4. Click the Permissions tab.
  5. Under Send Notifications, choose a notification option: Always AskAllow, or Block. If the choices are greyed out, deselect the Use Default checkbox.
